Dr. Keely Walgama, DDS, MSW – Endodontist

Dr. WalgamaDr. Walgama is a native Texan. She graduated from The University of Texas in Austin with a B.S in Social Work followed by a Masters in Social Work from The University of Texas in Arlington. She worked in Dallas as a social worker at UT Southwestern Medical Center for several years prior to moving to California to pursue her dental training. Dr. Walgama received her DDS from University of California San Francisco. Upon graduation she received honors by being elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and was given the Student Achievement Award in Endodontics through the American Association of Endodontics. She then completed advanced training at University of California Los Angeles, receiving a certificate in Endodontics.

As an endodontist, Dr. Walgama is an expert in pulpal and periradicuar pathology and root canal treatment. She finds providing relief of pain for her patients to be incredibly gratifying and is able to counsel patients through many misconceptions of treatment. She finds that her background in social work provides her a unique perspective and skill set. Her compassion for people and the community is often recognized by patients as they report that they feel a natural comfort with her as she helps ease a stressful situation.

Dr. Walgama is committed to providing care to the underserved. She has participated in various mission trips, served as the director to a free dental clinic, and volunteers in health fairs regularly. She is a member of the American Association of Endodontics and the American Dental Association. When she is not at work, she enjoys yoga, snow-skiing and vegetarian cooking.
